PAP Mask: Philips Respironics Dream Wear Gel Pillows Mask

I have the Dream Station (Phillips Respiraonics). I fill the humidifier chamber every night with the same amount of water. I haven't changed the humidity settings. Why would it use different amounts of water every night?

Because your ambient humidity might change and how much water gets used is dependent on several things. 1...ambient humidity...like if it is raining where you live the ambient humidity will be very high and most likely not much water will be used. 2...amount of leak will affect water consumption 3...pressures used will affect water consumption. more pressure or more leakage will cause an increase in water consumption.
So situations will vary sometimes so water consumption will vary sometimes.
When it rains and I happen to have the windows open I might not use much water at all. Then things dry up and I might use almost all the water. Ambient humidity is probably the biggest factor.

Agreed, varying humidity levels in the room, house, and outside weather situation all affect changes to your PAP humidifier needs and therefore the amount of water used per session changes accordingly. Now that we've entered the heating season, even the type of heat system you use will differ water usage. Some heat systems produce a drier heat than others.
