I had a friend just do one. I used him as a test patient when I was setting up my home sleep testing business.
He had the two studies about a year apart, mine first which is a Type 2. He had the Watch PAT after gaining weight and having some concerns with snoring and feeling sleepy.
The reason that he had the Watch PAT (through Kaiser) is because he was positive for OSA with and AHI of just over 10 with my setup. The Watch PAT found him to have an AHI Of 3. "something." Two very different outcomes. Thats the only comparative study that I have and the data is a year apart. Take it for what you will.
He was happy because the lack of diagnosis meant that he didn't have to wear CPAP. He's still tired during the day though.
