I read the definition of flow limitation index but am not sure I understand. When I look at particular set of data from one of my bad nights, I see a group of OAs one right after the other. During this time of numerous OAs, the Flow Limit graph reads 0. I would think the number would be different.
why?

Also, during these "lots of OAs times" I see that my machine pressure is not max. My machine is set for 12 to 15 cm of water. Even though I am having so many apneas in a row, the machine pressure does not go anywhere near 15. Usually the max is about 13.9. Is it that the machine just goes to whatever pressure eliminates the apnea? If that is so, why not just set my machine for 14 cm?

your machine is somewhat slow to respond, so getting the right minimum pressure right is very important. the machine reacts to flow limitations, snores, hypopneas and apneas, according to a program... but it might not be reacting fast enough for your needs... raising the minimum should help.
