I have just started using the Pilairo mask and when I take it off in the am my breath or nose has a horrible smell. I have tried many masks to date and am having problems getting the right one but none have had this affect. It's worse than just basic morning breath. Any suggestions out there

Maybe, it has do more with dental hygiene than the mask itself

PAP Mask: Resmed P10
PAP Machine: Resmed S9 vpap auto
Pressure Setting: 18/13-25/19

Common issue with cpaps, when you're using the machine, you're getting air from a few feet away, when you remove the mask, you smell what's right there.

Usually though it's people reporting perfumy smells, which are coming from their sheets...

The nose gets tired of smells and starts to ignore them when it's exposed to them constantly, but that sudden change of air from where the cpap sucks it in to right under your nose can make a surprising difference in the mornings.

PAP Mask: Item #: AirFitâ„¢ P10 with Headgear: RM-62900 , RM-62910 Catelog: RM-62900
PAP Machine: DreamStation with Humidifier and Heated Tube PR-500T12 Item #: PR-500T12
Pressure Setting: Begins at 5 - Average 10.7

For smell, may I recommend a tooth oil or gum support oil. It's going to help break down bacteria on the gum line and may lessen the smell.

If you hate the smell from the machine, you can add a drop of "your favourite item here" onto a cotton ball and place it next to the machine's air entry.
