Hello! I am a newbie to this forum. I just read somewhere, after my first night on my CPAP machine, that you never want to put anything like vaseline on your lips for example no matter how drying your machine is. I read that you can actually be breathing in the petroleum, which can coat your lungs and cause all kinds of problems! :? There is no doubt that these machines can be so drying on your skin and lips, etcetera. What are some good products that you can use to put on your lips and skin which won't either break down the machine parts, or enter your lungs?!?!? I'm just looking for some viable options which are safe for me to use.

lanolin is what's usually recommended for such like that.

Lansinoh brand is very good... doesn't take much.

Available in the 'nursing mothers' section of your local pharmacy/grocery store....

usually used on sore, abused nipples.
