HI folks!

Got my heated hose for my Dreamstation. My humidifier is on "adaptive" . I know I have to change the settings to accept the heated hose. What humidity level and temperature should I start with? Do I have to change from the adaptive mode?

Thanks!!

The machine will recognize the hose when it gets attached and I think there is also an "adaptive" mode for heated hose. I forget exactly what you get with adaptive but I personally prefer manual controls so that I can choose humidity levels and hose air temp levels separately.
You can do it either way though.

If you do nothing except attach the heated hose the machine will revert to the default settings for heated hose. I think that might be adaptive but wouldn't swear to it. Might be worth just letting it go at that setting and see what happens.

The manual should explain all this...do you have the provider/clinical manual for your machine?
If not go here and request it...how to request via email is about 2/3 down the page.

When you have time you might get that provider manual.
It has some stuff in it that isn't included in the user manual.

This is always good advice. Like you said, the provider/clinician manual has more information, especially the resmed manuals.

I started out without a humidifier and without a heated tube. My throat kept getting sore from the dry, cold air. I did not bite my tongue. I bought the humidifier and heated tubing and have been using them two weeks. Now I am biting my tongue again, making me think the pressure is not high enough with the heat and humidity. Pressure is set to auto with ramp 13 to 15.
